My target is June 1rst, by that time, I believe we can start rolling the engines to earn money online. And will also start a contest soon enough to have an activity on this blog. Hopefully, we can have more visitors participating in the discussion.

• Install anti-virus, adware and malware remover. This will make your surfing safer. Though not all can be catch by this antivirus, better be safe on any site that you think will cause harm to your computer.
• Paypal Chain Letter. Normally you will receive email like this telling you to send paypal money to 6 email address in the mail. And send also the mail to your friends. Don’t fall for this. You will just waste your money trying to send to someone you don’t know.
• Old Style Nigerian Scam. An old Nigerian scam letter that someone died and left an amount of money for you. You don’t even know the person died, so how he/she will give you or left you a huge sum of money? They will just ask you to send money for processing and left you broke.
• Sweepstakes or Lotto Emails. Another form like above about Nigerian Scam. You have one a huge sum using a lottery with your email address attached. Just delete the mail.]
• Phishing emails. These emails normally includes sites that you are familiar with or are popular in a sense that might compromise your login details, bank details and other important personal information like your credit cards. It appear the link embedded on the link is coming from this legit sites but if you hover you mouse on the link(don’t click) you will in the status bar at the lower left that it is not the actual site. You will then be brought to a site that looks like similar to the site the email is mentioning. Don’t click that link. Better go directly to the site by placing it to your browser address bar.
• Text Messaging or SMS Scam. This is also another way to fool you out. Though not much related to net surfing but better be careful and knowledgeable than being sorry at the end. Don’t be send any money that you don’t know. They will just ask for money supposedly for processing (same as above) and will run away with your money. There are instances that you might believe when the number of the mobile phone is coming from your friend but double check it first if it is really coming from your friend. The mobile phone he/she is using might be stolen and using every contacts stored on it to scam people.
• If you own a site don’t make all files writable by the public. If the script (if you are using one) doesn’t require the files to be writable don’t make it writable. It does make sense, you will loose every single page and information from your site including your mails that can be used for another kind of phishing attack.
• Don’t use the same passwords on all sites that you are visiting that requires you to have an account. Use some tools where you can store those passwords.
• Stolen credit cards are rampant. Be sure to keep it safe and check the sites security before purchasing anything from them. And don’t give those CC information to anyone where you are not sure nor know the person you are dealing with.

Why I have posted this? On one reason to make money out of affiliate sites. Since this will also be tackled on our journey to make money money online with this blog. It would be better to hide this affiliate link from your visitors and besides it is more ethical to see the your domain on the clickable link rather than the long url with affiliate or referral parameter in the link.

What you need.

1. A notepad. Open Notepad or any text editor you want.
2. You should have access to your ftp or web server to upload the files or create a folder.

The method.

1. Create a folder in your web server(if you want to) but not necessary. Example my main site is http://www.onemansgame.com, I will create a directory in server and name it “infoaboutsite” without quotes. So the location would be http://www.onemansgame.com/inforaboutsite/
2. Now we use the code below and copy it to our our notepad or the text editor of your choice.

3. Save the file to any filename you want with .php extension since we use a php code on the directory you created above. Say, I name it “BestWebHost.php”, my file location now would be http://www.onemansgame.com/infoaboutsite/BestWebHost.php.You can use other method like html, javascript and by using the .htaccess file. It is up to you.
4. Now, on your content or post you can now use to link and any keyword you choose to point to that file you created. Example, I have placed this key phrase “Best Web Host in the Internet” and I will link that key phrase I created to the url above so it will become a clickable link. Best Web Host in the Internet, this will now be redirected to my affiliate url.

Search Engine Optimization is a tidy and long process to cultivate but the fruit is truly rewarding. For newcomers who are not aware on what SEO is, well place it like this so everyone can understand even an elementary grade. When you search on search engines like Google, Yahoo or MSN, you see results or website that mentions the term you are searching lined up in order from 1-10 normally. See example pictures .

I search the term “Onemansgame” without quote in google. In order for your site to get traffic you need to be on that top rank when you search for the term. Eventually users of search engine Google will go to your site from the search query they are looking. It is just clearly implies that search engines find your site relevant on your query thus displaying it on the top of the their search results of the particular term. The example is not that competitive, it was just used just to illustrate how can SEO do to your site to get traffic from searches all over the world for the particular term.

Now we go the the process on how can we achieve such rankings if we are achieving or targeting a highly search keywords. Highly search keywords means how much volume the particular search term or keyword is used or type in search engine to find information. Here are some tips you might want to consider.

Search Engine Friendly Pages or URL or link. Search engine friendly url or pages of your site means that your pages can easily be crawled by search engines bots (they are the one seeking your contents and links to be indexed like Googlebot) and can easily found by humans. Take note that SEO does not always deal with feeding the search engines but also feeding human visitors to remember your site or pages easily. Having an example below, you will probably understand what I mean.

I have this two url or page, (1)http://www.onemansgame.com/kick-off-of-onemansgoal-blog-about-make-money-online/ and (2) http://www.onemansgame.com/index.php?=tags&kick-off-of-onemansgoal-blog-about-make-money-online&ssessionid=123456&url

What do you think will that search engine bots and human visitors will remember? Which URL or page will get indexed faster? Clearly enough the first one can easily be remembered and indexed first. Why? It is appealing to human visitors than the second url. Search engine bots sometimes will spend time crawling your pages thus leaving the second url in limbo and can just cause some parameters that bots can’t understand. Googlebot and other search spiders can flag it as irrelevant on the issue of parameters they can’t understand. The second url can also cause a broken relevant link or pages.

Organized Pages or Internal Linking. Suppose you went to a house (not yours) and see how everything was arranged and have seen the house like a junk. What would you feel? That is basically the same thing that search bots are looking and human visitors. How many clicks of mouse do I need to go the page that I want. Are the pages link in a way pleasing to eyes of human visitors? Or how deep your other pages away from the homepage? Organized pages or links of your site should be in order, visitors tend to go away to your site if they will click on too many links just to go to the information they want. It must be few clicks away from the homepage with an ideal of up to four (4) directory away. Example is yoursite.com/directory/subdirectory/information.html and don’t go beyond that.

Site Content or Information. How can your site be visited if they don’t have content? How can you encourage your first time visitors if they just find an scrap content or pages or just a junk full of ads? Content is still king in SEO. Content is not just pointing to articles but also products, softwares, valuable information, prices etc. Feed both the human and search bots with information they want. For example someone is looking for a digital camera, you need to place what are the specification of the camera, the price of the camera and other useful details a digital camera has.

Keywords. Make sure in conjunction with content the keyword you want your site to rank. But don’t over emphasize the keyword on your content or article, make it at least 2 or 3 occurrence inside the content.

Incoming Links or Backlinks. This is the second hardest part of doing SEO beside content. In order for our site to be recognized in the world, we need to have it mentioned on other sites related to our topic. We need links pointing to our site using our targeted keyword or key phrase. A variation of keywords or key phrases is good in doing link building. Our incoming should be in quality. Quality that is measured on how relevant the link pointing to our site is. How strong is the site we have links in? Example, we are building link to site about kids laptop, would you think a link pointing to us from a pharmaceutical site is of quality? The answer is a big NO, our backlinks should be coming from related sites like laptop sites, laptop forums or a semi relevant site like technology site.

Design. Design are specifically for our human visitors. Bots don’t see if we have a beautiful graphics lying on our site. Design is important to please human visitors to come back. A good design can also work as a link bait as the best site in terms of design. First impression always last.

Outgoing Links. Most of the time, some webmasters are ignoring this parameter on SEO. They tend to go on incoming links rather than outgoing links. Outgoing links must be relevant again to your site topic. Example, if your site is about search engine optimization, would you like to place an outgoing site that is on adult niche? I don’t think so. Your site might be flag by search engine bots as just a house of spam links.

So far they are just the basic on SEO or search engine optimization. This is just a start for us to continue and drive traffic to our site to gain revenue from either organic search results from engines or from human visitors.

I have a day job that and that covers our living on day to day basis. That is why I have put up this blog in order for you my dear readers to earn or make money online at the same time. I want you to earn together with me since I am also looking ways, methods and money in the net. Checking the stats I have posted above, I will gladly say I only earn that much. $200 for me in a month is already high. Since that can pay already my monthly bills.

Basically, what we are planning to do is list the ways to earn money, what are the odds and advantages. I will also have some precautions since this is necessary. So a rundown can come for pay per click, advertising links, forums and other ways to make money online.

I am also preparing to have a contest on this blog to engage some users or visitors participation.
