There are already lots of online service marketplace roaming around the internet where there buyers - who want to outsource their project and sellers/coders/freelancers - the one who make the project work or do the work or service for the buyers.
One of those online service marketplace is Lime Exchange, where you can outsource or have an additional income. And there are others like rent a coder. Pretty much good sites. Though you can participate on those sites, there are also some points that might be considered (if you are planning to have another service marketplace or plan of joining) to be successful and some downfall on the said business.
Some odds on those marketplace.
- Bidding system. Most of the time the lowest bidder wins the project. As for the coder, pretty much underpaid considering the work to be done but beneficial to buyer as long as the quality of work is done.
- Withdrawal of coders earnings. Most of the time they are set on specific date of withdrawal like monthly. This could be change on when can a coder withdraw what he earns regardless on how much is it that as long as buyer accepted the work 100%.
- Ease of communication system. A better communication system should be in place for better execution of the project. A chat room for both buyer and coder is a must and a setting where a coder and a buyer be both online.
Advantages
- Most of them have escrow system that both buyers and sellers are secured before and after the project was completed.
- An arbitration system where if none or both the coder and the buyer cannot agree on the details once the project is in phase.
- Cheap compared to established companies you want to outsource your project.
Needs to Improve
- Should add multiple payment e-currencies for buyers and sellers to fund and withdraw.
The above can at least help if you are planning to put an online service marketplace or planning to join those that you might want to check out.
